Overview
TSL Test Bench replaces TSL Tester. Where TSL Tester only listened, Test Bench also transmits: a TX window drives tallies, lamp colours and UMD text to a real device or router, and an RX window decodes whatever arrives on the wire. Run both side by side to check a tally chain end to end, or use either one on its own against a vision mixer, multiviewer or UMD panel. It supports TSL UMD V3.1, V4.0 and V5.0 over UDP and TCP, and every packet can be inspected as a hex dump with a decoded summary.
Features
- TSL UMD V3.1, V4.0 (checksum, lamp colours) and V5.0 (Unicode text, multiple displays per packet, DLE/STX framing)
- UDP unicast, multicast and broadcast, TCP client and TCP server, in both directions
- TX: click to toggle tallies and cycle lamp colours, edit UMD text inline, send on change or poll on an interval
- TX generators: Clear, Random, Chase, Source Names, ASCII Sweep and Scroll
- Frame preview showing the exact bytes for the display you're editing
- RX: auto-detects the protocol per packet, and re-synchronises TCP streams
- RX table view or UMD view with dot-matrix tiles, including legacy dual 8 + 8 displays
- HDR UMD text and tally lamps on displays that support it, falling back to SDR automatically
- Stats for packet rate, per-protocol counts, V4.0 checksum pass rate and errors, with stale displays dimmed
- Packet log with hex dump and decoded summary for every packet sent or received
- Small native app, about 3 MB to download, with a built-in update check
